hi, on such a low power engine every little bit helps... Small gains throughout the whole kart will benefit performance. Tyres/chains/alignment/chassis setup... all make massive differences to lap times. As for an over simplistic of engine tuning on the Gx160: Gx200 cam, sort out the valve timing and ignition timing, gasflow the head, make sure the valves seat correctly, fit a slightly larger carb, debaffle the exhaust and run just enough oil to lubricate the big end in the tight corners... all of the above will shorten engine life. Some would say just fit Gx200's but that's nowhere near as much fun as tuning your own engines. When you fancy a faster kart try a Biland SA250. They can flyyyyyy! Have fun and dont forget to check out this site's tech section for tips...http://www.karting.co.uk/KandK/
