As soon as you start name calling it shows a certain lack of intellect, just because somebody disagrees with you doesn’t make them either a cretin or an imbecile.
Safety has improved on the IOM and rider’s equipment is far better these days.
You only have to look at all the air barriers around the circuit to see that.
It's not only about there choice to ride the IOM but that desire to face a challenge, probably the same for people who want to climb Everest. It has been done before so there no great kudos to be achieved other than proving to oneself you can do it, and people die every year trying.
Should we ban everything that might cause a death in that case stop using the roads, for the last 12 years the Police have recorded 36,000 people lost there lives an average of 3,000 a year, makes the IOM seem positively safe
