I support the TT. I support the VLN at the Nurburgring. I support Moto GP. I support WRC. All inherently dangerous sports.
In my opinion, the riders of in the TT are heroes. They race with their life on the line for 200 miles. They choose to do this, they love to do it and nothing else would come close. They'd still be doing it without the crowds or the TV coverage.
Like karting, every measure is taken to make the racing as safe as possible. The only way to make it safer would be to ban it. But where do you stop? Why is two lives a year more important than one or two a decade in karting? So, do we ban all forms sport that involves danger? Let people live.
