I'd missed your comment.
Errr.... as I was comparing the death rate AT the TT, surely, I would have been CHEATING to add in the PHENOMENAL death rate of the REST of the bikers????
Just so we can be sure about this....
1) Bikes make 1 percent of the road use (miles driven or time driven). And yet they make up TWENTY PERCENT of all road deaths and serious injuries..... even if we include PEDESTRIANS K.S.I. in the overall figure whereas they are NOT included in the 'miles/hours driven' calculation!
2) You are FORTY SEVEN TIMES more likely to DIE while riding a motorbike than you are a car. That's NOT 47 PERCENT.... it's FORTY SEVEN TIMES!
Even at the TT.... I've been careful to leave OUT the CRETINOUS collection of 'wannabes' who kill themselves DURING the week of the meeting using the IDENTICAL 'track'.
I only included the TT Race Event 'deaths' simply because that is EXACTLY what we were discussing!
Explain why sticking to the subject could POSSIBLY be 'incorrect'
