Haha, well there are some pretty useless driveres around you then! Let's put it this way, I've been on dozens of LRO days on some pretty gruelling courses over the last few years in our freelander and I've only got stuck once! The newer freelancers are far better than the initial ones a few years ago. On top of that we use them at work on all our muck shifts, they will go up and down 45 degree inclines with ease even when it's been peeing down, the ground is skippy as hell and there are massive ruts from the moxys!
I dont doubt your 45mpg claim about your Elise, because I've not got one (yet!) please don't doubt my claim that the freelanders are good offload when either a) you have never driven one or b) your a crappy driver offload and don't know how to drive one!
