Prince Charles visited Edinburgh Royal Hospital yesterday.
Accompanied by the hospitals head of administration, he was lead into a ward, where he decided he should speak with a few of the patients.
Wearing that fixed grin, he offered his hand to the man in the first bed........"And, how are you?" he asked.
"Oh wad some power the giftie gie us, To see oursel`s as others see us, It was frae monie a blunder free us, And foolish notion"............came the reply.
"Ah.....rite", stumbled Charles, and moved on to the next bed.
"And, how are you?"
"What signifies the life o` man An` twere na for the lasses O".......came the reply.
Fixing his grin even more firmly, Charles moved on to the third bed..........."Good morning, how are you?"
"Flow gently, sweet Afton, among thy green braes, Flow gently, I`ll sing thee a song in thy praise"
By now, increasingly uncomfortable with this situation, Charles turned to the hospital chief and asked, "Excuse me, is this some kind of psychiatric ward?"
The hospital chief replied, "No your Highness, this is the Serious Burns Unit"
