Yeah, that would be a GREAT argument!
You want to claim that Lewis was driving a car which was OUT OF HIS CONTROL! You are claiming he spun the wheels unintentionally...... I suppose I could use the same defence if I ran over a group of children while doing wheelies...... well, I am not guilty becasue I didn't INTEND to do it........ yup..... that'd work!
His ONLY hope would be to say that he is SO good that he can control a car PERFECTLY while still spinning the wheels!
If he claims the car was SO powerful and/or his concentration was SO low and/or his abilities SO poor that he was INCAPABLE of driving the car without skidding...... they'll throw the BOOK at him! And he'd DESERVE it!
If you cannot control your car, you should NEVER be driving it!
