That's not completely fair, Simon. They really DON'T have any more built in incentive to be 'against' 'anthropogenic change' than they have a bias to reaming in excessively heated houses!
On the other hand, the last people who WON'T believe in Athropogenic change are those who want to CONTINUE wasting fuel!
It cuts both ways... not just one!
For me, it hardly matter is the GW/CC argument IS correct! The argument of cutting wasteful use of fuel is good ENOUGH for me! Plus reducing our dependence on the Middle East and RUSSIA for our key supplies on it's OWN is enough to make ME want to 'change'. Add to that the benefits of not drowning my planet, then the whole argument for reduction in fuel usage/wastage is SO blatantly a GOOD thing that I simply can't comprehend a reason for NOT wanting to make these changes
