You can try putting people on to reduce the cost, i'm a few years ahead of you but i saved Ł1000 by putting my mother on the insurance for my impreza, i don't know why it works like that but it does! i know a few other people who have done the same, and before anyone says yes i am the policy holder, she's an aditional driver

So try putting other people on as well as yourself, you may be surprised what happens, but yes it is going to cost you a lot, girls are cheaper, and to be honest i don't think its a few spoiling it for the rest, i know a lot of people who have had accidents/ written off cars/ been banned over the first few years of their driving, myself included, you never intend to but it can easily happen, the statistics don't lie.
