You KEEP thinking that 80 megatons is GIGANTIC!

It's PATHETIC explosion!!

One SINGLE Volcanic eruption (Krakatoa) produced an equilvalent of TWO HUNDRED MEGATONS in about 1 SECOND!

It is estimated that Germany dropped 75 MEGATONS of CONVENTIONAL bombs on the UK during the war!

Nuclear bombs ARE big but NOT when you compare the scale of the REST of things we do.

If you assume that 'explosions' are the problem, just try to comapre the sum TOTAL of the 'explosions' would be in the COMBINED cylinders of ALL the engines being used on Earth in a SINGLE DAY! I do NOT know the figures but I am guessing that it would DWARF Krakatoa!

To give you the sort of SCALE we are looking at, the OPEC produces about 32 MILLION Barrels of Oil PER DAY!
