Thats all I know - I only race there. I don't claim to have knowledge of World Formula at other circuits.
The engines bang off the rev limiter from just after half way along the straight, then for about 20 metres on the back straight.
But if you run higher gearing you're constantly engaging and disengaging the clutch with a horrendous banging and this shakes the engine to bits. You can't win.
To put this in perspective, I blew my engine up at my second race meeting, bought a new engine (£739 after 1.5 meetings!!) and had no more trouble for the rest of the year. I thought I'd just been a moron as mine was the first I'd seen go. But since then I've seen (and I've just knocked up a quick spreadsheet for myself to prove this) 13 broken engines and I know of 10 more that have gone.
Cheers...
