You could buy something for around Ł700 but you would most probably be in the midfield or near the back for most of your races because if you wan't to be a front runner the engines would cost between Ł800-Ł1000 for a good pair and Ł1000 plus for blueprint engines.

So you have to look at this realisticlly, are you just racing for fun or are you looking to be a front runner and be up there in the top 5 ?

I had a loook on ebay and found this pro kart, something like this kart would be a good starter

but if you are looking to be up there with the front runners the chassis to have is either a MS kart or a 7 kart with a good pair of engines.
