Honda cadet engine cutting out - fuel pump problem?

Hi All,

I'd be really grateful for some help regarding a Honda cadet engine. Please forgive my ignorance, I'm pretty new to these engines. I've recently sourced a new genuine Honda engine replacing a non-started I recently bought for my son. Having swapped bits over from the old engine, I noticed that there's nowhere for the 3rd fuel pipe to go on the box on the rocker cover. On the old engine it went back into the top of the engine, but on the new engine, theres a thin metal arm? With no obvious place for the pipe to go. The engine starts after I blow the fuel through, and then dies after 20 seconds or so, with the fuel draining back down to the tank. I'm guessing the pipe I have nowhere to go is the cause of this, sorry for the long explanation, but if anyone can help that would be great. Many thanks
