Yes we have reduced to 3 heats and a final but I think it is a positive move in relation to all the other classes (and our races remain longer) but provides a separation between qualifying and heat 1.
There was supposed to be clarification on other rules including the use of Dunlop only tyres this year (but keeping an eye on what was the accepted tyre from the Honda Challenge for 2013), the use of helmets and suits and points for the opening and closing rounds etc.
But rules are simply a framework for us to race around. The same people, karts, quality track, officials and friends to rip the proverbial p... out of (and idiots I suppose). This will be the first season I won't be starting in the last 7 years which I can't get too excited about but I do have some anticipation for some good performances from Ben Fallon and the other young lads that showed their worth towards the end of last season. Yes were are losing a few drivers this year too but that has always happened and our class remains the most popular in the North East and historically there has been good reason for this and long may it continue.
See you all Sunday
