We purchased two 2005 rocky chassis in 2008 and both boys while learning went very well. In 2009 the my older grandson looked ready for an up grade so we purchased a new Tonykart Rocky chassis, the chassis is very well made much better than the Zip but could not make it work for us. I then put both boys on to Zip Storm chassis & they when very well. At the begining of this year with one boy racing Minimax we purchased a new Zip Lightening for my younger grandson and we have seen a remarkable improvement in lap times, last year he could get round Rye in the mid 43's he is now in the 41's and has been on the podium every time he has raced at Rye this year (4 times) The Tonykart is a good looking chassis( we race one in Minimax) and although there are some who are having a lot of success on it in my opinion you will not better the Zip although it does seem expensive for what you get.
