Just had a quick look at some fastest dry laps from a selection of races at different circuits.
Average reduction in lap times Senior/Junior as follows:
Rotax - 0.82 X30 - 0.90 TKM - 0.40
Not scientific I know as it took me about 10 minutes and I can't be sure conditions were the same for the selected races. These were from races at 4/5 different circuits.
My point is, does 4/5 tenths really give them the extra buzz they need when they move up from Junior to Senior to justify changing class? I really can't see that as the reason for Senior TKM being poorly supported.
It also seems as though, on average, Rotax and X30 are about a second a lap quicker than TKM. In the same class a significant amount and you'd be well off the pace, but is that enough to make TKM feel that much different to drive?
