Years ago, I wrote a full description of bump-starting a clutchless two stroke. It's a very full version and will take a while to read. I think it's worth it and so did others. However, you may not, if so, sorry, I tried my best.

I tried pasting it here but there seems to be a maximum number of characters that UK Karting can post and this document exceeds that limit. If you want it, post a message here with your email address and I'll send it to you in Word Format.

It covers many of the aspects of technique and the logic behind it. It covers ways to practice the technique without using much effort and, mostly, with reduced risks. It covers 1-man and 2(or more)-man starting. I have been using this method for well over 50 years.
