More likely the ABkC didn't like the heat they were getting from tyre money going through their accounts. So that arrangement has been changed so the promoters can send it directly where they want to.
Therefore Graham is right that the vote was pointless.
I speculate of course.
The trouble is in MSA karting we have a bit of a mish mash of centrally organised racing and commercial operations. It creates various conflicts, some of which look shady on the outside. I'm not sure if the ABkC are deliberately opaque or just terrible at communication and marketing. I'm pretty sure it's the latter though. They clearly don't have the resources to operate effectively in the modern world, which is why the whole thing is probably best left in the hands of private commercial businesses now. Powerless associations and out of touch governing bodies are a waste of space.
Basically, privatise it.
