and its within fiche.......thats the biggest problem i have with it all. Its within fiche so could roll off the talko production line just the same. You have two motors identical in every way....just ones been made by Talko ones ironed out some irregularities by "Paul, Fred, or Tom"
TKM's a ok class with its heart in the right place. but it also is in my opinion 1 rule too many that makes things worse in the long run.
The Torsion bar thing is a perfect example. Why have to weld it in....what benefit is this to anyone???
When you had no camber caster people had special stubs made....The things implemented to make it "fairer" or more cost effective actually have the opposite effect.
a well produced Fiche will stop open tuning as SimonS says. but will allow tuners to do their job and maximise an engine within spec. I wasn't talking about lightened conrods on the edge of breaking etc. I'm talking about a size spec, and a minimum weight spec...and if you machine it a bit to reach the reliable minimum thats your choice and available to everyone. If you go to far and its illegal and out of spec you will be thrown out. Simple :-)
