A clubman Licence enables you to take part in any National B event.
There are actually few events in the UK that are National A. The SuperOne series for example.
So a Clubman or National B licence is good for a) Kart Tyro events b) Most Club meetings c) Championships run under National B licence (NKRA and NKF for example)
They aren't any use if you want to enter a National A event such as SuperOne and possibly (I haven't checked) the TKM National Weekend, events like that.
Essentially a National A event cannot have novices racing in it.
Otherwise you might as well save the money, having a National A licence if you only intend to do National B events, racing at the club and club driver level, is overkill.
