WF was a stupid class to introduce to the UK when there already was an entry buget class with prokart. Otherwise a great idea in concept especially for emerging nations. It should have been fixed cost engine and chassis but the problem was the engine had zero reliability and the fixed cost chassis were never adopted in the UK. All it did was split the Prokart grid many of who have either returned, retired or moved class again. For anyone wanting to just play WFs can be bought very cheaply at the moment an most have been driven by "clubman" so the kit is normally in good order.
Race tuned is fine (RPM especially) but the new engines are pretty good out of the box at the moment. Race prep just optimises the variables better like cam gear position, valve seal and ring seating (as well as removal of the govenors and tanks etc). 2009 engine regas are listed on www.gx160parts.com
August is a long way off. I bet once you have seen the action at WL next race day you will want to have a go sooner rather thab August.
