I rather thought that the people (or parents of) were the supporters of karting?
If you cannot attract and/or entertain them they will not come.
Looking at the website I cannot see any reason to attend other than for me to support the trade who are only there to take my money while paying Ł11 for the privilege.
Its a catch 22, if you cant entertain the customers they won't come. If they don't come, there is no reason for the trade to go?
Bear in mind that quite a lot of the drivers are kids or have kids,there perhaps should be something like freestyle bmx, skateboard demos, climbing walls etc,these are sports that do not necessarily conflict with karting, but could enhance the fitness of the drivers or at least keep them entertained.And like it or not kids do like screens so yes there is a place there for sims and sim demo's. There is also no point denying that cars exist!
Kartmania should try to become part of the motorsport show and show car racers and more importantly THEIR CHILDREN what it has to offer Rather than preaching to the converted and keeping itself so niche and introverted.
