I have to agree with you John. I did ring JKH up a few weeks ago complaining about the 7 rounds instead of 6 and also putting the weight up for S max to 165Kg, and complaining about the cost of fuel. We have raced in a few GT car races this year and (as i told JKH)pay £2/litre for fuel instaed of the £4.2/litre at S1. But i was told that S1 had surveyed competitors and, it is just what the wanted (no 1 asked me or anyone i know). Does any one know who was asked ??? Personally i think the Euro Max is better value for money, not forgetting the chance to race at PROPER race tracks, unlike Buckmore to name 1(cannot see driver, kart or track from pits). On a lighter note i was going to suggest we should all sign up for the PREMIER kart class KF1(super), take the free Dunlop tyres, sell them, then at the end of the year you will be a seeded driver(only 12 seeded drivers this year so John you and i could have got a number+prize without racing), never actually having to drive, then the cream on the cake is been invited to the end of season presentation and getting a prize, and made a profit. So that is why i think they have put the S1 prices up so one cannot make a profit from entering KF1. As for cameras, i would suggest Optrex for the obsevers & Clerks (they always seem to be looking the other way, never at the 1st corner)and leave cameras to BBC & ITV. As for Rotax clutches, i am fed up with complaining to JAG and Rotax that they sould get rid of the needle roller clutch bearing and replace it with a bronze or sintered bush, thereby negating any lubrication (just any grease on clutch drum & your out, no UNIPRO loggers needed)and sorting out the crappy nylon 11 tooth clutch bush. Happy New Year to all are pals in karting Mike Simpson (snr)
